I spent at least 4 years searching for a corgi to rescue while fostering other dogs in the mean time, but I wanted to be a corgi mom very badly. I follow and support these organizations for the wonderful things they do. Many do in-state adoptions only. Hopefully you can find a reputable corgi rescues in your area as Corgis in Florida are of short supply with a lengthy waitlist. Only go to a breeder if you know for certain:
- This is the dog and the breed that I want and have done plenty of research
- You know where your dog is from, don't go to a pet store they have most likely purchased that dog from a puppy mill
- Research a reputable breeder and don't get scammed! Follow your gut feeling on it
- If you know about the corgi genetic diseases, ensure your dog is not susceptible to them by either the parent's lineage or genetic testing

This rescue group was established 15 years ago but recently renamed Southeast Corgi Rescue to more accurately reflect the states where we operate. We have helped hundreds of corgis and corgi mixes find their forever homes. We rescue, foster, and adopt in/to NC, SC, and GA. We are foster and donation based; both are integral parts of our ability to help Corgis in need. We are a 501c3 charity organization, so all donations are tax exempt under IRS code.
